PRO 20 : Tonsillitis / Sore Throat
Causes: Tonsillitis is often caused by viral or bacterial infections. Common viruses include the influenza virus, parainfluenza virus, adenovirus, and Epstein-Barr virus. Bacterial causes include Streptococcus pyogenes (group A streptococcus), which leads to strep throat.
Symptoms:
- Sore throat, often severe
